If I had to pick just one thing that I got out of this journey so far I think it would be perspective. I have a new view on what I want from life and what I want for our family. Cruising has opened my eyes far beyond what I imagined and I am so so thankful for that. Thankful for the highs I’ve been able to do/see/experience, and even the lessons the lows have taught me. We may be far from warm weather and sunshine this Thanksgiving (in fact, it is snowing out my window as I write this), but we are so lucky to have had the experiences we have had this year. Whether you’re celebrating with your real family or with your cruising family this year, the crew of SV Chance wishes everyone a truly wonderful Thanksgiving.

What are you #thankful for this year? A non leaking dinghy? A working outboard? A newly discovered bottle of rum in the bilge? Tell us below!

  1. Thanks for asking, I’m thankful for good health, a wonderful wife plus the fact that spring will one day peek around the corner and initiate a brand new boating season.

  2. Darn thankful I am not a Turkey that is for sure.
I am also thankful that no body has woken me from this dream yet. After 4 years of cruising I am always expecting someone to say “Wake up, your dreaming and your late for work”.
    Love your blogs.
