Why We Sail

People are fascinated by the fact that Jason and I live on a boat, particularly New Yorkers. Once they find out we do, it is hard to turn the subject to anything else. When people introduce me to someone new it generally goes, “This is Kelley, she lives on a boat.” While I’m typically not fond of the introduction the fact that we do live on a boat makes us unique. We have found the secret to our happiness in this crazy city. So when our friends from Conde Nast Traveler wanted to share our story, we took them for a lovely sunset sail and gave them a taste of this wonderful life. I’ve probably watched this video 20 different times and it still makes me smile. Enjoy!

Welcome aboard the Chancelot!

Condé Nast Traveler's Jason Sinclair takes us into his home (a sailboat!) and gives us a tour of his neighborhood in New York City.

Here's how he made the permanent move from land to sea.
